Dragon Girl

I drew a series of pictures long ago taking my characters and giving them features from their Eastern zodiac sign, designed clothes based in part on kimono and hakama with details of a suit from cards and a flag from their origin - with a color scheme in line with the element associated with the particular year of their zodiac (water dog, metal rooster, earth dragon, metal monkey). The one of Paul didn't turn out that great: it might have been the camera angle or the drawing itself, but his skull looked skewed. The others, however, I've colored over time.

Taikekki (whose name has changed a lot over time but whose character has remained essentially the same) was originally born in the year of the earth dragon, but I re-figured the timeline and now she's born in the year of the fire rabbit. Her origins flag is half Japanese (I included the rays because I like them) and half USA because her dad is from Japan and her mom was some white woman who's exact ethnicity (French? English? Scottish?) I don't feel like figuring out because her mother is a terrible person and a minor character. Her suit is diamond because . . . that's what was left? I don't know.

Dokku (whose name has also changed a bit over time) was born in the year of the metal rooster. His origins flag is Japanese and he was born in Japan, and I dressed him in fancy shmancy hakama based on a really expensive pair I saw on a website. His suit is the spade, which makes sense because as a teenager he was compelled by a street gang to hide/bury dead bodies and thus is a bit of a gravedigger.

Duria (whose name hasn't changed at all since I created her) was born in the year of the water dog. Her origin flag is British, because she is, and I dressed her up in a kimono and leggings. Her suit is a club because of her violent streak, and to harken back to a comic I made at a comic drawing comic-drawing marathon in which Dokku stalked her and prevented others from fucking her by threatening them with dead body parts, and she turned into a cannibalistic mass murderess out of her libido's frustration with the villain name "Jack of Clubs."
