I'm going to keep a tally of which students are central characters in the episodes available on Netflix
out of thirteen episodes:

Arnold 4
-competed with cousin for best teacher, in space
-digested his classmates (plus a whole jar of green olives etc)
-learned how the scum on his shoe fits into the food chain
-lets the bullfrog escape

Carlos 3
-invents a musical instrument
-plans an expedition to make a birthday cake for Miss Frizzle
-eager to be famous for gardening

Dorothy Ann 1
-is fascinated by physics and inspires a frictionless baseball game

Janet 1
-tried to hoard proof of going to space

Keesha 2
-learned how the tuna in her sandwich fits into the food chain
-searches for a star of her movie about ants

Phoebe 2
-wants to save desert animals from the desert
-left her lily at her old school and has to go get it

Ralphie 3
-had a sore throat
-borrows DA's textbook for home base
-is the weatherman, shika shika shika kaboom

Tim 0

Wanda 3
-rode bubblegum through Arnold's intestines
-learns about a bullfrog's habitat while trying to find the bullfrog
-won over to the benefits of decomposition

Wow

That was all of season one. Tim didn't get to star in a single episode. He drew a flower once and offered a few lines here and there but I have no impression of his personality. I hope he gets a bigger role in the following season.

One of our cats won't eat and is starving, and has jaundice. They (Patri and Stitch) are at the vet now to discuss options.

Nashoba is a little over 5 months old. He is currently napping. He can roll over, babbles, has charming smiles, and is generally happy and sweet, sometimes fussy. Doesn't like to be away from me for very long.

Today at the apartment play area, 8 year old twin girls were adoring Nashoba and taking turns holding him and cooing over him. He seemed to enjoy it, part of the time. Got a little overwhelmed a few times, but they were very good about interacting with a baby.

But I think Stitch is going to be put down.

EDIT: Stitch is dead.

He was a clever and affectionate cat. A good cat. He has been through a lot.

I woke up in a good mood today.

Updates: I live in an apartment with my boyfriend, Patrick. I'm still unemployed and still discouraged about it, but I find other things to be happy about and I have plenty of projects to keep me busy. I'm fond of this city, full of hippies and college students, trees and parks, and . . . uh, slightly aggressive drivers, but just to the point of speeding up to keep me from changing lanes and honking at me sometimes. I've decided that when I can go back to college I want to study linguistics. I love art and writing, and I'd take classes along those lines, but I don't want to get swamped in sculpture classes and all the other required shit for an art degree, or pushed into a job in the arts. I want to draw for fun, and for commission. I want to work in an office setting, writing, filing, making spreadsheets, stapling, and interacting with people, like in a library or something.

I've entered the world of LARP (Live Action RolePlay) with a character based off of Duria, but not British, named Rita, and a ghoul. As a ghoul in this game I am addicted to a vampire's blood. That vampire is my regnant and I'm his minion. There are other vampires in the game, and mages, and werewolves. Some people are still working on their character sheets, histories, and so forth but I have mine pretty well hashed out. It's all great fun. We met in a Denny's for some soft rp to warm up and I attacked a mage when he got in a conflict with my regnant.
